Regarding the shift of the general elections by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, the ruling party has slated an emergency caucus meeting for Monday.
Those expected to be at the meeting are the President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, serving and former state governors, among others.
The meeting, scheduled for 11am would be breaking from tradition, hold at the national secretariat of the party as against to its regular venue which is the Presidential Villa.
The caucus is exploiting the opportunity provided by the postponement of the polls to checkout the party’s strategies for winning the elections.
The meeting is also set to deliberate on the party’s fate in Zamfara and Rivers state where their participation in the elections has been subjected to legal actions.
