The quantity of suspected political hooligans captured by the Kano State Police Command has ascended to 950 scarcely four days to the rescheduled presidential and National Assembly decisions.
The state Police Commissioner, Wakili Mohammed, affirmed the figure when individuals from the Kano Election Peace Committee visited him in his office on Tuesday. He said the order had so far secured no less than 950 speculated political hooligans, privately alluded to as 'Yan Daba', for supposedly assaulting honest inhabitants of Kano city inside the most recent nine days.
He clarified that a large portion of the suspects were grabbed in various parts of the city for assaulting inhabitants with risky weapons. As indicated by him, out of the number, 750 have been remanded in different jails pending the fruition of their preliminary by the courts.
The CP said the vast majority of those captured were discovered either acting affected by substances suspected to be hard medications, ownership of illegal medications or with risky weapons. "We are reliably striking dark spots and once you are captured and affirmed to be a 'Dan Daba', no one will safeguard you," Mohammed said.
